ESBA is constantly striving to intensify its EU intelligence for SMEs and member organisations, advocate and profile their causes on EU intiatives and promote stronger organisations through new coaching content. In order to do so, the ESBA Board has agreed a 5 year Business Plan and an exciting 'Vision 2020.'
The ESBA Business Plan 2006-2010 sets out a detailed series of objectives in the fields of management, membership and income, advocacy and profiling, coaching and other projects. By 2010, ESBA will :
Represent 15 to 20 major national independent small business advocacy and benefits groups
Implement a donators programme to support its advocacy activities
Implement a full programme of coaching activities to develop independent small business advocacy and benefits groups
Operate on an overall budget of approximately 1 Million Euros
Ensure that its Management bodies are adapted to the growth plan
Commence a strategic partnership with two services organisations
Open and directly staff an independent ESBA Brussels Office
As this website demonstrates, ESBA has already made significant progress towards implementing and progressing towards the milestones of the Business Plan. By 2020, it is intended that ESBA will :
Become the leading European organisation representing the interests of independent small business advocacy and benefits groups
Represent about 40 national member organisations and have over 100,000 direct supporters for highly profiled EU advocacy activities
Implement a full programme of coaching activities to develop independent small business advocacy and benefits groups in Europe and beyond
Operate on an overall budget of approximately 10 Million Euros
Collaborate with strategic partners for selected pan-European services
Establish 2 permanent independent offices in Brussels (EU affairs) and Geneva (International affairs)
